Witness by Photographer Troy Moth
Troy Moth recently created an amazing body of ten works entitled Witness. Moth’s soft photography depicts mysterious compositions in remote environments. At first glance these misty images look sleepy and enveloping however on closer inspection they reveal a wild side. The images are filled with a variety of natural components such as bird feathers and antlers mixed in with moss covered sticks, pine needles and bark. The combination of these elements seem to evoke the quiet ghosts of nature.
“Troy Moth was born in a remote tree-planting camp on the west coast of Canada and spent the first few years of life in a tent guarded by his parent’s large dogs. He loved the wild and abundant nature he grew up immersed in, but eventually the call to adventure became too much and he moved, first across Canada to the big city (Toronto), then across the world to India, to pursue a career in photography.
Troy has worked for numerous commercial and editorial clients, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone, GQ and many others. He has also exhibited his work nationally in Victoria, Vancouver and Toronto and Internationally in New York, Kansas, Italy and Switzerland.”
