World Press Photo 2013 – the most prestigious and largest international competition among news photographers. This year’s competition was attended by 5,754 photographers from 132 countries submitted 98,671 photos. After the contest winners of images collected show that is visited by millions of people in more than 45 countries.

With some winners of the 57th World Press Photo Contest 2013 today we introduce ourselves.

Snapshot is part of a photo essay, which won 1st place in the category “news from the scene.” Continuous street fighting and aerial attacks reserve fragments of ancient cities in the world. Photographer Goran Tomasevic Reuters in January 2013 went through the capital of Syria – Damascus and the rebels of the Free Syrian Army. Being in the center of events, Tomasevic was able to remove the moment when one of the rebels was shot by a sniper, and then as a tank shell hit the wall above him.
