Awesome Sushi Art from Chef Tama-Chan

Japanese sushi chef Takayo Chiyota, aka “Tama-chan,” uses sushi as a canvas to create pieces of art.

She crafts sushi rolls into portraits of Tutankhamun, replicas of ‘The Scream’ by Edvard Munch, as well as cats, mermaids, and fetuses.

Most of Tama-chan loves to play on their “canvas” stories of famous paintings – such as for example “The Scream” by Edvard Munch. But sometimes surprising and something quite unexpected – for example, the image of the child in the womb.

‘I never know what the inside looks like so I’m never sure if it will come out the way I imagined,’ the artist wrote. ‘And I can’t make edits when I’m done.
