Relic of the Tooth of the Buddha, Sri Lanka

About the life and death of the Buddha always hovered many legends and tales, and one of them for his teeth. It is believed that after the cremation in 540 BC, his body out of the ashes of the deceased got four survivors of the tooth, which had been taken to different parts of the world. One of these teeth in 371 came to Ceylon (now Sri Lanka).
