Gangs Story – How are Real Bikers.

French photographer Yann Morvan documented life bikers and members of different gangs for 40 years. The result was a powerful collection of black-and-white photographs.

Photographer Yan Morvan often risked his life getting into extreme situations and dealing with dangerous people. And all this for the sake of work. Well, he can not choose his theme of “softer”. He documented the life of the biker gang “Hell’s Angels”, created a project about skinheads and even managed to take a picture of Guy Georges – a serial killer who eventually kidnapped and tortured him for three weeks. Photos captured Morvan strained “raw” emotion from which it becomes uncomfortable. It removes force, anger and daily lives of groups of people who are on the edge of the law. Black leather jackets and severe face – is the norm, and local authorities have maintained an aura around brute force. At the camera, no one works, no one smiles and poses. Morvan not just come, take pictures and leave. Oh no, it week after week, month after month and year after year, even working on the same project. Today we present to you a selection of his photographs chronicling the life of bikers.
