5 years, the American artist Lisa Lu laid out the bead kitchen of your dreams.

Born into a dysfunctional family, a girl all my life I dreamed of a cozy home and a beautiful kitchen. Years later she was able to realize his dream, and she did it in a very original way.

In 1996, Lisa literally shocked the world with his “kitchen”, where every inch of the surface is covered with small glass beads. At its area housed everything you need housewife: sink, refrigerator, cooking stove with oven, toaster, lots of cabinets for dishes and shelves for spices. Not only was woven furniture and walls, but also a broom, food, cleaning products, even the water in the sink, where soaked dirty dishes. To weave this kitchen Lisa took more than 40 million beads.

Lisa’s work, which is now called only as the “Queen of beads”, has received rave reviews and has got a magical success, but the artist was given a high price. She was diagnosed with acute tendonitis (tendon degeneration) when she worked on the “kitchen”, as a result of hard work by the attachment of each bead tweezers. Nevertheless, the artist continued to work and travel the world, exhibited his work in major museums.

photovide.com presents you the best works of the artist, the new projects which can be seen in the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego until November 3 .
