One morning I was lucky enough to visit for a couple of hours in the Kingdom of Mists, which is located on the river Oskol in the Kharkiv region. Kingdom can be seen getting up at 3:30 am and climbed up on a chalk hill 100 meters high. Photos are on time, in chronological order. Talk at the same time, what a mist and fog which occurs in nature.
As long as there is no sun:
Kayakers camp where I come from:
Fog – atmospheric phenomenon, the accumulation of water in the air, are formed when tiny water vapor condensation products (at temperatures above 10 degrees are tiny droplets of water at -10 … -15 – a mixture of water droplets and ice crystals at temperatures below -15 – ice crystals sparkling in the sun or in the moonlight and lanterns).
Relative humidity with fog is usually close to 100%.
Bottom left you can see the piece of chalk mountains:
There are several types of fog. Underground of the fog – fog, low creeping over the ground (or water) continuous thin layer so that the layer of fog horizontal visibility is less than 1000 meters, and at 2 m – 1000 m above observed, usually in the evening, night and in the morning.
Translucent fog – fog with horizontal visibility at 2 m below 1000 m were observed more often in the evening, at night and in the morning, but it can also occur during the day, especially during the cold half of the year with an increase in air temperature.
And just fog – dense fog with visibility of the horizontal at 2 m below 1000 m, it is a fairly well developed vertically, so it is impossible to determine the state of the sky (the number and shape of the clouds). More likely to occur in the evening, at night and in the morning, but it can also occur during the day, especially during the cold half of the year with an increase in air temperature.
Winding Oskol, muffled by fog:
Fog began to acquire color:
Hurrah! The sun rose! All will play golden colors:
The largest number of foggy days at sea level – an average of more than 120 a year – is observed on the Canadian island of Newfoundland in the Atlantic Ocean.
The sun rises higher and higher, gold paint glaze:
