Dreamcatcher Digital Girl Paintings by Jennifer Healy

Jennifer Healy is an artist born in the United States in 1985. She has always loved strange, eccentric, beautiful, and slightly melancholy things. She has been sketching since she was a child. Her love for drawing carried on throughout her high school days, which is when she took a small class on watercolour. In 2009 Jennifer discovered digital painting and she found her new passion for creating beautiful portraiture. Her characters are purely beautiful, surrounded by celestial world.

Jennifer Healy prefers using Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, because they are oil-based and great for blending and layering colors. In addition to her beautiful pencil-on-paper drawings, she also works with a digital pen, and many of her CG portraits have been published in magazines like Advanced Photoshop, 2Dartist, and ImagineFX.

“I create because it’s what I’ve been doing since a little girl. Art can save when one has less than an ideal childhood. I still create today because I want to be able to give that same inspiration to another who may have nothing else to escape with. There has been a passion for art all my life and I continue with it till this day.

My art is a mixture of “good” and some “evil” undertones. This is how I view the world around me. There is no complete good and it’s not completely evil either. Where there is one, there is the other. This is how it will always be.” – Jennifer Healy
