Originally, the concept for the photoshoot was suggested by Universal Décor to WellGroomed Designs, a British Columbia-based bridal store. Vancouver-based wedding photographer Amrit Grewal joined the team to photograph 9 beautiful models. The high-budget photoshoot included detailed sets, and some of the dresses cost more than $10,000, with accompanying jewelry as well.
“Our aim was to show them that they have the options of incorporating these ideas too into their weddings,” Amrit Grewal explained. So Grewal and a few others embarked on a unique project: reimagining the characters in traditional Indian bridal wear.
