Dakar Rally 2016: Race in the Desert

The race in the desert – an occupation for these extreme. Starting January 2 in Buenos Aires, more than 350 teams from around the world began their two-week adventure on the road for Argentina, Chile and Bolivia, in the annual Dakar Rally 2016.

10. In 1977, the French racer Thierry Sabine got lost in the Libyan desert and was found only in 3 days. He miraculously survived thanks to the Tuareg. This incident inspired Thierry to organize dangerous rally, which was first held in 1978.
