Stunning Interiors of the Best Opera Houses in the World

Photographer David Leventi always been a fan of classical music and enjoyed listening to opera arias. Not so long ago, he decided to make photography project, which would be collected pictures stunning interiors most majestic and famous opera houses in the world. The first was photographed interior of the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. It was an impressive interior, with lots of decorative details. Standing in the center of the stage in the middle of the great hall, Leventi experienced the power coming from space.

“I love the architecture of the opera house and the way they look inside,” – says the photographer. “They are like museums. I remember when I went with my grandmother at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City to see the opera “War and Peace”. Everything that happens on stage was like a picture of the great stories. It was an amazing sight! ”


8. Amargosa Opera House, Death Valley, California, 2009

Theaters that Leventi included in his project “Opera”, were selected because of their interesting interiors or because they are associated with interesting facts. For example Amargosa Opera House was built in the late 1960s, its interior is a folk style and the style of painting of Martha Beckett.


9. Margravial Opera, Bayreuth, Germany.
