The Most Grandiose of Abandoned Theaters in New York

April 23, 1896 in New York City hosted the first cinema show in America. So on this day, 117 years later, we want to introduce you to the project by American photographer Matt Lambros called “After the final curtain”.

In his project, the author tells the stories of abandoned and shows of American cinema, thanks to which we can trace the path of their former greatness, and great discoveries to the presence of stars to complete oblivion. His photographs depicting the decline and decay, can be clearly seen former luxury interiors and the importance of temples relatively young, but has become one of the most popular art form – cinema.
